A competitive edge

05/03/2015. Few were surprised when, as the largest region by value, Asia Pacific took over leadership of global duty free and travel retail from Europe two years ago. Between 2008 and 2012 Asia’s turnover doubled while Europe’s, still recovering from the financial crisis, edged up just a few percent. However, winning leadership is one thing but retaining it is another, especially when growth is slowing in the region’s largest economy.
