Plan for Cannes

14/09/2016 To get the most from duty free and travel retail’s global summit, TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes (2-7 October), it’s important to plan ahead. TFWA has created a range of digital resources to help you hit the ground running.

The Exhibition Directory is an online catalogue of the companies present in and around the Palais des Festivals. Visitors can search for exhibitor information such as contact details and product particulars, as well as compiling and printing data on items of interest. Exhibitors can also use the Directory to interrogate a list of visitors, again collecting and printing the material they need. An access code and password available from TFWA will get you started.

Another online tool, the Product Showcase, profiles the innovations and new launches featuring in Cannes this year. The products are arranged by category in a simple-to-use tile format. Clicking on a tile brings up a summary screen with outline details plus the maker’s name, stand location and contact data. If there’s a relevant press release or external website available, you’ll be able to access those too. Look for specific brands via a list or use the search function.

Before you leave for Cannes, be sure to bookmark the TFWA Web App on your home screen. Once you’re there, the app will provide exhibitor details, maps, the event programme, on-site services and latest news via the browser of your web-enabled device. It will help you make your meetings, check an exhibitor’s product range and find The Scene in its new venue.

One final tip: look out for the interactive touchscreens on the Exhibition floor. They’ll show you the way to each and every one of the 470+ stands at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2016.
