Book your hotel and flights early

Flights to Singapore and hotels are very busy around TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference. To take advantage of the best deals and to make sure you can stay somewhere convenient, book well in advance of the show.

Understand technical, logistics and staffing requirements

Creating the right stand for your space, ensuring your products reach TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference on time and having a well staffed stand are crucial to a successful show.

Plan meetings well in advance

You are far more likely to have a successful show if you have a full schedule of meetings prepared in advance rather than relying on ad hoc appointments throughout the week. TFWA distributes a list of pre-registered visitors to exhibitors, allowing them to make contact early.

Register for private meetings with key regional airports

A unique feature of TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference is the opportunity to hold private meetings with some of the most important airport locations in Asia Pacific, including some of the biggest and fastest-growing airports in the region. Last year 16 airports made themselves available for the meetings, and all exhibitors are eligible to request meetings through TFWA, allowing them to hear first-hand about business opportunities at major destinations.

Use additional opportunities for exposure around the event

There are several opportunities to further promote your company and brands in the run up to and during TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference. Using these will help maximise your presence at the exhibition.

Take advantage of networking opportunities

As well as preparing to take advantage of the impressive business potential of TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, take time to look at the schedule of leisure activities and social events. Sometimes the best contacts are made away from your stand!

Learn more about the duty free and travel retail industry

Attending the conference will give you insights into the macro-economic factors affecting the regional travel-retail market, with plenary session featuring high-profile figures from within and beyond the industry, and targeted workshops to keep you up to speed with key issues affecting the trade.

1/ Beware of fraudulent accommodation providers
It has come to our attention that unknown third parties are calling exhibitors and visitors, supposedly on behalf of TFWA, to enquire about hotel rates or to acquire information about hotel bookings.
Please be aware that TFWA is making no such approaches to exhibitors and visitors on this issue and we strongly recommend that you exercise extreme caution should you be contacted in this way.
Who are they?
Show participants have reported falling victim to fraudulent accommodation providers using names such as
Gold Exhibitions, EU Convention Bureau, Concierge Plus Group, Global Living Group, The Ultimate Living Group, Riviera Network, Business travel International, Expo Travel Group, Splendor Global, Universal Shows, Universal Events, Premier Destinations, Euro-Events, Biz Trade Shows, Go Fair Ltd, World Expo Plus, Euro Concierge Net or Euro Events Expo (this is not an exhaustive list).
How can you avoid these frauds?
Before making any commitment with an unknown accommodation provider, we recommend that you:
- Check thoroughly all documentation from the provider. In France, all property rental and travel agencies must be licensed and hold a bank guarantee and civil liability insurance. These details must appear on all company documentation including the website.
- Be wary of our logos on accommodation providers’ websites. The TFWA name and event titles are sometimes used unlawfully.
- Book through our exclusive hotel booking platform where you can benefit from special hotel rates.
How do the frauds work?
- A fraudulent venture repeatedly emails our show participants with accommodation offers for the event.
- Their website and/or emails feature our show name and logos, creating an impression of authenticity.
- They promote attractive deals with local accommodation providers.
- Once payment has been received, the ‘company’ generally disappears and can no longer be contacted.
Please also note that bookings made through the official hotel reservation platform are absolutely secure.
2/ Beware of the fraudulent listing service "Expo guide"
We would also like to warn exhibitors that should they be contacted by a company named Expo Guide, that it is an online listing service and is in no way affiliated with TFWA or its official exhibition guide. The use of our association name and show name by this company has been made without our authorization. We therefore urge exhibitors to be cautious and encourage them to contact us when receiving these types of solicitations from unfamiliar sources.
