Pre-registration for the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2018 and TFWA Digital Village has opened. Featuring a compelling conference and workshop programme, together with an unrivalled opportunity to see the latest innovations from leading brands and digital specialists active in duty free and travel retail, the event is set once again to be the highlight of the industry calendar. It will run between 30th September and 5th October at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
TFWA has confirmed that following the success of the first TFWA Digital Village in Cannes in 2017, the event will make a welcome return this year. It will take place between Tuesday, 2nd and Friday, 5th October.
Once again, TFWA’s dedicated ONE2ONE meeting service will help to ensure diaries are full. In 2017, there were 302 pre-arranged meetings via the ONE2ONE service, an increase of 38% from the previous year. For the TFWA Digital Village, 163 prearranged meetings were planned.
Last year, over 6,800 visitors attended the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, an increase of 6% from the previous year. The exhibition occupied a total of 22,607m2, with 514 exhibiting companies across 490 stands and 16 official boats in the Harbour Village.
Commenting on the conference and exhibition, TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen said; “As preparations get underway for this key event, it’s clear that once again there will be plenty to think about and debate in Cannes. Business has been healthy across our industry since we last met on the Côte d’Azur, but our world is changing rapidly and it’s never been more imperative to keep abreast of these changes. And, as always, the event offers an outstanding opportunity to network and to meet business partners old and new.”
