The first TFWA Monitor report of 2021, compiled by travel analyst ForwardKeys, looks at what trip reservation data tells us about the situation for international and domestic travel in the first months of 2021.

The 2021 Travel Data Outlook report gives an international arrivals overview by region, looks at intra-regional trends, and also covers domestic travel in key markets such as Brazil, China, Russia and the US. The report also looks to the imminent Lunar New Year holiday, usually such a crucial time for the duty free & travel retail industry.

Among the case studies explored in the report are:

  • Israel-Seychelles: an indication of pent-up demand
  • Russians return to Dubai and the Maldives
  • US travel to Mexico and the Caribbean
  • Travel links restored between Qatar and the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia

We hope the report will make interesting and useful reading for all TFWA members.

Like all reports in the TFWA Research Catalogue, the study is available free of charge to members and can be downloaded using your login details.
