TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference
TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference 2023
For many DF&TR professionals, the networking opportunities at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (7-11 May in Singapore) are among the summit’s biggest attractions.
Making contacts, expanding networks

Participant feedback from TFWA events consistently highlights the importance of chance encounters and casual conversations away from the Exhibition floor or Conference auditorium. Such exchanges at social gatherings, or simply standing at the bar, can help forge the long-term partnerships that are the lifeblood of duty free and travel retail. With this in mind, TFWA always makes time for delegates to mix and meet fresh faces, as industry executives at the forthcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (7-11 May at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands [MBS]) will discover.

The informal networking begins at 19:30 on Sunday evening with the Welcome Cocktail, which takes place at the spectacular Flower Dome, part of the Gardens by the Bay situated a short stroll from the MBS venue. Open free of charge to all TFWA delegates and exhibitors on presentation of their badge, this curtain-raiser for the regional summit traditionally draws a large attendance and is the ideal place to catch up with old friends and make some new ones before Monday’s Conference. From 21:00, guests will have exclusive night-time access to the Flower Dome’s breath-taking display of over 32,000 plants, with the tulips a special attraction.

Offering a relaxed setting for after-work drinks on Level 4 of the MBS, the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge will be open in pertnership with Qatar Duty Free between 17:00 and 21:00 on Monday, and from 18:00 to 21:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Live music on Wednesday evening will add a final, festive flourish before the show closes the following afternoon. Again, all delegates and exhibitors will have free access, enabling them to chat with colleagues and reflect on the day’s business while enjoying a glass of something refreshing. The Lounge, which features a generous balcony overlooking Marina Bay, will occupy a larger space this year. Drinks and snacks come courtesy of sponsors Heineken, Korean Red Ginseng, Black Ball, Duty Free Global, Brown-Forman, Crafter, Mondelez International, Wonderful Pistachios, Perfetti Van Melle and Varhona.
