As Head of Retail & eCommerce of Cathay Pacific Airways, Aldric Chau oversees the airline’s direct sales channels: cathaypacific.com, Cathay Pacific’s mobile app and global contact centres. In order to provide more options for customers to enrich their travel experience, Aldric also leads the team developing Cathay’s ancillary revenue strategy and manages an expanding portfolio of products and services, including Cathay Pacific Holidays packages, Upgrade Bid, seat choices, destination activities, inflight Wi-Fi connectivity, etc. This also includes the award-winning retail programmes of Discover the Shop and Emporium, which curate a unique and thoughtful digital shopping experience for the airline’s 35 million-plus international customers.
Prior to taking on his current role, Aldric was previously Cathay’s Country Manager for Sri Lanka & the Maldives, and held other positions in Inflight Services and Corporate Lean Team.
Aldric holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, specialising in strategy and consulting.
