TFWA World Exhibition & Conference

How many deals sealed on the Exhibition floor began with a chance encounter one evening over a glass? We’ll never know, but delegate feedback suggests that networking is just as important as formal meetings at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, the next edition of which runs from 2 to 7 October.

The 2016 Networking Programme will bring industry professionals together in a relaxed environment that blurs the boundaries between business and pleasure. Two large-scale social events book-end the week. In-between, delegates’ favourite nightspot takes to the beach. With limited space at all three, Full Delegate status (available from tfwa.com) provides the most cost-effective way to guarantee access.

Opening Cocktail

social activities

Sunday night’s Opening Cocktail opens proceedings at one of the smartest addresses in town, the Carlton Hotel on the famous Croisette. Last year more than 1,600 guests came to enjoy the chilled champagne and appetisers, chat to friends and colleagues and compare notes for the days ahead. The spectacular waterborne firework display, courtesy of the City of Cannes, adds to the evening’s celebratory feel.

The Scene

The Scene

Once the week is underway, The Scene is where delegates gather after hours to unwind and enjoy a drink with their peers. A stunning new location, directly on the beach beside the Palais des Festivals, means the DJs’ skilful mix of music will be complemented by the sound of breakers. The party runs from 22:00 to 02:00 Monday to Thursday and tickets can be bought online at preferential prices before 29 September, with daily passes also available.

Le Premium Evening

premium evening

The socialising culminates on Thursday night with Le Premium Evening at the Port Canto. Around a thousand guests will mingle before sitting down to an exquisite dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Stéphanie Le Quellec, followed by Cuba’s Ballet Revolución and their heady blend of classical, contemporary and street dance. What better way to end a week of work and play?
