After a two-year break for Covid, the MEAFDA Conference returned in force for 2021 with a compelling programme focused on the region’s recovery. 437 delegates from 208 companies participated, slightly up on 2019 and a strong turnout given the restrictions on international travel.
Retailers and landlords accounted for around 1 in 3 people at the Conference, held at Dubai’s Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, while nearly half were suppliers and brand representatives. As previously, about 90% of the attendees came from Europe or the Middle East.
