TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference
TFWA acknowledges the widespread concern within the duty free & travel retail industry as a result of the coronavirus outbreak and its serious negative impact on travel and on sales to travellers. While we remain hopeful that the situation will soon stabilize and gradually improve, it is clear that the impact on our industry is serious.

For the moment TFWA will continue as planned with its preparations for the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference taking place from 10 – 14 May at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. We are conscious of the concerns expressed by some companies planning to attend the event and we will take these into account in our assessment of this fast-moving situation.

The TFWA Management Committee, which includes many companies that exhibit at TFWA Asia Pacific, will convene as planned in early March. The situation in Asia will be the main focus of discussions at that meeting and a decision on the event will be taken at that point. We will of course continue to monitor the situation in the weeks prior to the meeting and remain in constant contact with our partners in Singapore.

We remain optimistic that the effects of the current outbreak will be short term, and we believe it is important to be ready for business to resume as quickly as possible after the current crisis is resolved. As always, we will listen to the views of our members and any steps we take will be in their interests and those of the duty free & travel retail industry as a whole.
